This is a collagraph print of the view across Loch Morlich to the Cairngorms in winter. The inspiration was a plein aire watercolour painted in January. I particularly liked the contrast between the geometric fractured ice shapes and the more organic tree and mountain shapes.
I am a printmaker who specialises in collagraphs of Scottish landscapes, nature images (birds, trees etc), ski touring and Pictish knotwork combined with landscape. I travel around Scotland in a campervan painting en plein aire. Returning to Edinburgh I convert my paintings to collagraph and drypoint plates and print them, usually at Edinburgh Printmakers. See more of my work at www.lindyfurby.co.uk. I have 12 of these prints available.
